100 Wild Islands – Day #1

Feel the wind in your sails aboard an open whaleboat, while getting firsthand sailing experience from your professional mariner. Nova Scotia’s Wild Islands are a chain of hundreds of islands, renowned for their historical and ecological significance, and have been featured in Canadian Geographic. Keep your camera ready, as these islands are perfect for viewing migratory seabirds, osprey, bald eagles, grey seals, and the occasional sunfish! Landing on a pristine, white sand beach, you’re welcomed with a delicious lunch, prepared with local delicacies, including smoked salmon and homemade seafood chowder. Enjoy an afternoon of guided hiking and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters to explore the area’s marine life or simply relax in the sun. Learn about some island edibles during a guided walk before dining on a succulent seafood boil dinner. Laughter, songs, and night-sky viewing await around the campfire with new friends.

100 Wild Islands – Day #2

After a good nights rest under the stars we awake to the sounds and smell of the sea. As the aroma of salty air penetrates your tent walls, so to does the smells of a healthy breakfast being prepared by your guides with local carefully chosen ingredients and enjoyed under a canopy of trees or the beach, the choice is yours! And local hot coffee and tea is always on the brew. The guides share stories of these unique islands, life at sea, the surrounding communities and the future of these islands which are one of the most ecologically rich archipelago of islands in all North America. After a swim, beach walk or some alone time we depart the island for our sail back to the mainland where you will be sent home with not only lifelong memories, but a gift bag full of goodies that are uniquely Nova Scotian delicacies.
